I never skied, but I used to ride a knee board at Wet N Wild.

Never took the boat on the WP chain. I didn't feel like paying, lol. We used to like taking it to the beach, though. Ponce Inlet is a good place. There's a sandbar in the inlet called "Disappearing Island". It's only exposed during low tide and it's a great private beach. The only way to get there is by beaching your boat. Don't do it while the tide is still going out though, you'll end up stuck until the tide comes back in.

The Winter Park chain is a pretty good place to go boating. It's not just a single lake, but several with canals between them. The only problem is that you have to be permitted to use them. I believe it's $6 a day, or you can buy an annual pass. There are some really nice houses on the lakes so they don't want the African Queen chugging around, lol.

I love boating. When my kids were younger we had a 18 foot bow-rider (SeaRay 180 Sport) and loved every minute of it. It was big enough for me in the driver seat, the wife in the left seat, and the girls either in the bow or in the stern seats. We had a big white Coleman ice chest that I'd lash to the stern swim deck so we could bring food and drinks without taking up floor space in the boat. We took that little boat all over the place, but my favorite was St Johns river. There was so much to explore on that river. We usually put in at the Monroe Marina and head downstream. Cool places we'd stop were Blue Springs and Hontoon Island. I preferred the river over lakes because there was more to do than just drive in circles.
