You'll now find a new button on the site that takes you to our Business Directory, featuring locally owned businesses that make an impact in our Central Florida communities.

Listings are submitted by the businesses themselves or requested on their behalf. These are not paid advertisements, and there is absolutely no charge to have your business listed.

Our goal is simple: to help our community discover, support, and connect with the local businesses that make Central Florida a great place to live!

The CentralFloridian.com Business Directory is dedicated to recognizing locally owned businesses that contribute to the character, growth, and well-being of our Central Florida communities. Our goal is to help residents discover and support the independent businesses that make our region unique.

Please review the following guidelines before requesting a listing.

1. Business Eligibility

• Listings are reserved for locally owned, independent businesses operating within the Central Florida area.
• National chains, franchises, and large corporations are not eligible.
• Businesses must have an established presence in Central Florida and demonstrate a meaningful connection to the local community.
• Home-based businesses and independent service providers may qualify if they actively serve Central Florida residents.
• All listings are subject to administrative approval.

2. Required Listing Information

Every submission must include:

• Business name.
• Business address or primary service area.
• Business telephone number, if applicable.
• Website and social media links, if available.
• Business category and a description of products or services.
• Business logo or representative photograph, if available.
• Name and contact information of the person submitting the request.

3. Business History and Community Impact

This is an important requirement of our directory.

Every listing must include a written account of the business's history and its impact on the Central Florida area.

The description should address:

• When and where the business was established.
• Who founded the business and, where appropriate, its ownership history.
• How long it has operated in Central Florida.
• Its contributions to the local economy, employment, or community.
• Its involvement in local events, charitable activities, community organizations, or other initiatives, if applicable.
• What makes the business distinctive or meaningful to the Central Florida community.

We are interested in more than simply advertising products and services. We want to preserve and share the stories of the businesses that have helped shape our communities.

4. Accuracy and Content Standards

• All submitted information must be accurate and truthful.
• Descriptions should be professionally written and appropriate for a community resource.
• Unsupported claims, misleading information, excessive promotional language, and disparaging statements about competitors are not permitted.
• Submissions must be original or submitted with permission from the copyright holder.
• CentralFloridian.com reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, formatting, length, and compliance with these guidelines.
  

5. Listing Fees

• There is absolutely no fee to request or maintain a listing.
• The directory is a community resource, not a paid advertising platform.
• Listing approval does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of the business's products or services.

6. Submission and Approval

• Business owners, authorized representatives, and community members may request a listing.
• Submissions must be sent to a member of the CentralFloridian.com administrative team.
  
• The administrative team may request additional information or clarification before approving a listing.
• Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance.
• CentralFloridian.com reserves the right to decline, modify, suspend, or remove listings that no longer meet directory requirements.
  

7. Keeping Listings Current

Business owners are encouraged to notify the administrative team of changes to their business name, address, contact information, ownership, services, or operating status.

Outdated, inaccurate, or inactive listings may be revised or removed.
