Winter Springs Police Chief apologizes, officer resigns after FOX 35 investigation

QuoteA Winter Springs Police officer held Kevin Finley at gunpoint and placed him in handcuffs in his own driveway, accusing him of fleeing.

Finley was acquitted of his charges after playing a judge footage from his Tesla, which showed that he did not see the officer trying to pull him over for a traffic stop.

I saw this on the news. I'm glad Mr Finley was able to get justice, but it shouldn't have happened. The officer knew he wasn't spotted but still took the opportunity to practice his felony stop skills. Having a gun pointed at you is traumatizing. I'm sad the officer lost his job, but some people just shouldn't be cops in the first place.

Yea, I saw that to on News 13. That cop was awful aggressive. If you watch the video, the officer MUST have known the guy wasn't fleeing. he just didn't see him. Kind of crappy he got a gun pulled on him at his house.

At least Winter Springs residents don't have to worry about being drawn on by that particular cop anymore.
