Woman, 19, thrown from motorcycle, killed by semi-truck on I-95 in Volusia County

QuoteA 19-year-old woman was killed after being thrown from a motorcycle and hit by a semi-truck on I-95 in Ormond Beach, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday as both the motorcycle and tractor-trailer were traveling southbound on I-95 near mile marker 272.

I95 is always having problems. It seems like every time I get on the road there 's a crash somewhere and traffic is dead stopped.

The cocaine superhighway. They should give it a new nickname: "A Crash a Day Highway". I got stuck behind a truck fire not too long ago. I was at the head of the line of traffic that was stuck for at least an hour while the fire department put out the fire. At least I had a front row seat.

I told my daughter that if I catch her on the back of some dudes bike, we're going to have words. Young fellers that ride motorcycles tend to make poor decisions.
